THE VIDEO GAME DESIGNER'S MISSIONS

Video Game Designers are responsible for the overall design and game purpose. They determine the different elements of a game: architecture, rules, characters, universe (modern, comic, historical), situations, settings, challenges, difficulty levels, etc.

 

The designers give an interactive dimension to the overall project.

A recognized and respected professional, he / she must be passionate about games and master the basic software (programming, possibly graphics) while taking into account the technical feasibility for the team in charge of the actual production of the game.

Interpersonal skills are also essential, as the video game designer works closely with computer graphics designers, level designers, sound designers, testers, etc. As in all professions related to the digital world, fluency in English is mandatory.
